Consrtruntion details:-
The skull of this Phrygian Helmet is made from a two pieces of metal sheet and the forward-pointing apex is made separately and riveted or welded to the skull. The face was further protected by large cheek pieces, made separately from the skull piece. Sometimes these cheek pieces were so large that they met in the center leaving a gap for the nose and eyes. When constructed in this manner they would have embossed and engraved decoration to mimic a beard and mustache.
