To make this Viking shield, planks of light wood such as pine were butted together.  The boss and the rim are made of iron. Viking’s primary defensive weapon was the shield. Viking wielded their shields not only to stop blows, but also to deflect the enemy’s sword. Besides now these shields are used to represent strength, honor, and the connection to antiquity. We make Viking shields in custom size for the warriors who is going to be using them in the Larp Viking combat.
